Siamese Cat Case Study

This was my time period animal character design illustration. The goal of this project was to design an animal (anthropomorphic) dressed in the clothing of a specific time period. The illustration needed to depict specifics about the social standing and occupation of the character based on what they are wearing. The animal portrayed must be illustrated in full figure. The clothing style, setting, and peripheral imagery should tell the viewer who and what they are. The illustration will be created in a partial setting.

The time period that I decided to work with is the 1950s old Hollywood era. Due to the glamor that surrounded the fashion icons at that time, my choice of animal for problem 2 was a Siamese cat. I chose to use the Siamese cat because cats generally have an elegant presence to them and they usually have a reputation of being portrayed as an animal that has an attitude. I felt that this would work well with my plan to transform the cat into a 1950s fashion icon.
