Bear Case Study

This was my animal character design illustration. The goal of this project was to create one full character illustration, based on an existing animal. The animal should be created without clothing and each design should portray unique individuality and character. The animal character should offer an expression or personality (anthropomorphic) that the viewer can connect with. Appealing characters should be well-designed pushing shape variety, providing engaging silhouettes, and offering a sense of story. The goal is to exploit the shapes, but not lose the integrity of the animal. Final solutions may be approached as simple, broad, decorative, or realistic regarding style.
