Sardines Case Study

These are my prints for the type-high press project. The goal of this project was to design a letterpress-printed project based on an idiom or colloquialism. I had the task of using hand-set metal type, wood type, and existing or created imagery. I also used a variety of type, images, and experimental techniques, such as pressure printing and printing of non-traditional elements. Printing techniques should be perfected on flatbed presses, including color registration and split fountain inking. I had the freedom to select paper stock and was required to use at least three colors of ink, considering the interaction of the ink colors.
