Type Libris Case Study

This was my typography Libris book cover redesign project. The goal of this project was to further develop an understanding of typographic principles and explore the visual narrative possibilities of typographically or graphically driven design solutions. Book covers are a way to communicate what a book is about in a broad sense. They can represent the underlying concepts, they create interest and they need to share the title and author(s). I selected three classic books from a provided list and design covers that help foster renewed interest in the work or help the book connect with a young adult audience. All design solutions must be typographically or graphically driven. Photography and illustration can only be used if the images are of typefaces and/or letterforms created by myself.
